The warm weather and promise of grilled hamburgers and hot dogs turned out to be a combination baseball fans just couldn't refuse. The Razorback baseball team now holds the SEC record for weekend series attendance-- with more than 29,000 fans packing into Baum Stadium this weekend. Diamond Hog fans came out in droves to see their team take on the rival Tigers. And they now have new ways to watch the game. Although the 20 new sky boxes aren't completely finished yet, fans are already using them. "It's really great, you get a great view, you can see things really well. You can see when umpires blow calls," says Dennis Schuett, Executive VP for Regions Bank. And not everyone in the outfield has to sit in lawn chairs anymore-- now there's bleachers. "Fans are showing up a lot more. If they keep building they'll keep coming," says Nathan Lawson, who works as an usher at the games. This season's ticket sales have already passed last seasons by almost 9,000 tickets-- and there's still three more home games to go. Hog fans say they believe the team plays better when there's a big crowd to cheer them on. "Last night there was like five deep standing behind us in this section, the outfield was completely packed, every box had people. It was a great night for baseball, a great win," says fan Andy Plemmons. "We've got a great facility, this is one of the best in the country and when you put a good product on the field like they've done here, you're going to get the crowd out here and that's why we've been coming," says fan Tim Seiter. The Diamond Hogs bearly slid pass Mississippi State to claim the attendance record--- by a difference of just 16 people.
