Twenty-six-year-old Melonie Hughes died Saturday afternoon after Shelton pursued her some 200 yards on the tractor before running her over on U.S.-425. Sheriff's deputies say Shelton told them he went after Hughes after she shot at him with a handgun. The Prosecutor's Office is working to decide what charges will be filed.
