Group Says Politician Switched Parties For Personal Gain

A possible candidate for the state House of Representatives has made the switch from democrat to G.O.P., but some republicans say its for the wrong reasons. The Conservative Republican Coalition of Northwest Arkansas says Tim Summers of Bentonville may have switched parties for personal gain, not political beliefs. Summers says many local republicans urged him to make the switch based on his conservative views, and now hes deciding whether to run for the House next year as a G.O.P. candidate. The Coalition says it welcomes those who share republican ideas, but it does not support those who use the G.O.P. for personal political gain.
