Between October of 2006 to April 2007, police say a University of Arkansas student pocketed profits from this conession stand. During the school year, a percentage of the sales profits at concession stands goes toward student organizations. What happens is, a company named, "Sodexho" supplies the food and drinks, students sell them, and then the student organization gets a check from the food comany.
Police allege a student stole nearly $4,000 over the span of six months by cashing the checks made out to the student organization -- and keeping the money.
Police are not identifying the student until an arrest is made, and would not say which student organization was involved.
Prosecutors are unsure what charges they will file, if any. U of A Police says this case is still under investigation at this hour.
