Verizon Wireless wants to rent property from the Freewill Baptist Church to put the 90-foot tower. The protesters stood at the intersection of Dixieland and Oak with hand-made signs and flyers for several hours-- in an effort to inform others. "We're getting a lot of positive response, a lot of people aren't aware of this. We've had a lot of people wanting to know where the location is, when are the meetings, is there anything they can do, so it's been real positive for us," said protester Terry Weiderhaft. The next meeting about the tower is scheduled for Tuesday.
