(England, AR) A new manufacturing facility in England, AR will create 175 new and good-paying jobs.
England OilField Services Inc. will pay an average hourly wage of $18 when operating in a 33,000-square-foot facility to be built on 10 acres in the Industrial Park.
Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe announced the development today.
The company will mainly serve natural-gas companies working in the Fayetteville Shale formation that runs from north-central Arkansas to the Mississippi River, according to Beebe.
The state designated a Community Development Block Grant of $13-million to fund water lines, sewer lines and road improvements for the England Industrial Park, he said.
England OilField will also perform steel blasting, painting, welding and electrical services to the oil industry with a startup goal of later this year.
