KNWA Gas Price Investigation Begins

KNWA wants to get some answers straight from the horse’s mouth concerning the cost of gas in Northwest Arkansas. So, we’ve taken our viewers’ questions and headed out on a trip across the state to get answers from oil companies and fuel providers.
Out first stop is Texarkana, Texas and the EZ MART Stores Incorporated headquarters. There we were met by a media representative who denied our request for an on camera interview. However we put our questions in writing and got a list of responses emailed to us. Those responses were familiar ones to KNWA because we’ve been getting those same responses for well over a year. We were told that Northwest Arkansas lies in a completely separate fuel market than the rest of the state, and the region of the country that supplies our area with fuel charges more than suppliers who deliver to the rest of Arkansas. Finally, we were told that the EZ MART corporation hopes gas will go down in price just as much as their customers hope it does.
Our hunger for answers still wasn’t satisfied, so once again we loaded up and headed out to visit yet another Arkansas fuel provider.
