Bloodstains remain in the backyard of a Pocola, Oklahoma, home after police say a son turned on his parents.
Forty-six year old Johnny Ragsdale lived in the house with his mother and stepfather. Don Becker has lived next to Ragsdale and his parents for over ten years. Becker says Ragsdale has never been violent.
That all changed Thursday morning. Police say Ragsdale repeatedly stabbed his mother, Betty Warlick, went after his stepdad, Jim Warlick, then stabbed himself.
As for why Ragsdale turned on his parents, police say he has mental issues and doctors recently changed his medication.
Ragsdale was arrested and charged with assault and battery with intent to kill.
Betty Warlick was in surgery Thursday. She remains in good condition.
