Our sources in the oil business are telling us gas at the Razorback Pipeline is selling for around $3.07 a gallon, and yet gas prices in Northwest Arkansas average around $3.28. If the wholesale cost of gas is lowering ,why is it prices in NWA are rising?

In our efforts to find out why, we decided to follow a truck that fills up at the pipeline to its drop off location. We followed a Lindsey Petroleum truck that distributes gasoline for Murphy Oil. The truck dropped off gas at the Murphy USA across the street from the NWA Mall.

The price at the gas station was $3.29 when the truck first arrived, and three hours later, it remained the same price. We called Murphy Oil and they told us "Supposedly it(wholesale gas prices) went down big, but we haven't seen anything. I would expect a downward move in prices in the next few days. " We will continue to watch gas prices at Murphy USA to see if in fact prices go down, like they said.
