Treasurer Wants Investigation Into Wal-Mart

Bentonville-based Wal-Mart is catching heat from a state treasurer in Rhode Island. Frank Caprio has asked the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate the retail giant for not disclosing information that CEO Lee Scotts son works for a company which buys unsold furniture from Wal-Mart. A recent report says attorneys for Wal-Hart have looked into the issue and found no violation.
