Dr. Spaine talked with us about, as mentioned in the book, the idea that if you focus on losing weight you might be adding to your problem?
Dr. Spaine said, "What they would say in this book: don't focus on loosing the weight focus on the weight that you'd like  to be.  Think about being the weight you would consider ideal.  So, think about being thinner than you are, rather than focusing on the weight.....then you worry about oh my gosh I'm weighing to much I'm eating to much and then all of a sudden your obsessed about the fact that you aren't loosing weight."
Erik Funkhouser added, " I agree with the positive thinking outlook.  I just think they are a little dismissive in this book about the science behind various things and in this case weight loss."
As for Reverend Jeff Parker "She's right! Shes part right once again...and I think it never hurts to think positively.   I don't see how that could be a bad thing, but for the disciplined and mature spiritual person you're also trying to find Gods will in all that you face.  The negative and the positive and make something out of it."
