Groundbreaking for Park, Neighborhood Improvements

tire2007-05-29-1180444172.jpgA groundbreaking ceremony is being held today at 2:00 pm for the Wilson Park and Washington Willow Areas Traffic Calming Project. The ceremony will be held on the east side of Wilson Park. This project is funded by the Transportation Improvement Bond Program which was authorized by voters in September 2006 and includes the installation of 22 speed tables and 3 landscaped islands in the Wilson Park and Washington Willow neighborhoods. These improvements are the first to be constructed under the bond program. The improvements will be constructed by Tomlinson Asphalt Company of Fayetteville. Work will begin around June 1, 2007 and completion is projected for the end of September.
