The Center for Disease Control has ordered a rare federal quarantine, after a super-strain of tuberculosis may have spread aboard two international airline flights. Officials say someone infected with XDR TB took an Air France flight from Atlanta to Paris May 12, and flew again from Prague in the the Czech Republic to Montreal, Canada last Thursday. Health officials say anyone who may have been exposed should be tested. Like other forms of tuberculosis, XDR TB spreads person-to-person through the air. This particular type is highly drug-resistant and can be deadly.
