One local city is in the red when it comes to city sales tax.
Fayettevilles finance director say the citys tax revenue expectations are down big time this year, earning about $646,000 less than budgeted for. The citys revenues have been down the last six months in a row, but finance directors say the city has enough money to cover any additional expenses. They also say they dont expect the downward trend to continue.
