Its that time of year again: time for the 74th annual Old Fort Days Rodeo.
The Old Fort Days Rodeo usually sees about 30,000 people, but this year, organizers hope to see even more rodeo fans at Kay Rodgers Park. Fans will see contestants compete for six days leading up to the final event on Saturday, but before the big finale, Friday night is "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night, meaning rodeo fans are invited to wear pink shirts. But dont worry if you dont have one.
"There will be vendors on the ground selling them. They dont have to wear a pink shirt, wear a pink hat, bandana, anything to show your support," said Barry Presson, who works with the rodeo.
One dollar from every ticket sold will be given to Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House in Fort Smith.
"Everybody needs to come out and support it. Our money goes back into the local community," Presson said.
The rodeo will continue Friday and Saturday nights at Kay Rodgers Park starting at 7:30 p.m.
