First it was Fire Mountain, then Smokey Bones, and now O'Charley's is saying so long. Orlando Veronezi, who runs Boi De Ouro, says he's broken even for the first two years since the restaurant opened. "For Boi De Ouro, I don't have a problem. For this moment I don't have a problem." But he says business would be better if people had easier access to his restaurant and the others along Shiloh Drive and Mall Avenue. Veronezi says many people can see the restaurants from the highway, but don't know how to get to them. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bill Ramsey agrees. "We've just got to continue pushing forward better access to that area because it is a problem," he says. Ramsey says the city is looking into providing better access to the restaurant row and mall area. And he says the new movie theatre will help boost business. But he admits with new restaurants popping up all over Rogers and Bentonville, the competition is tougher. "It's no secret that Fayetteville has competition it didin't used to have."
