By: Nichelle Sullivan
Updated: June 4, 2007
Talk about seeing things from a different perspective! University of Arkansas researchers have found a way to observe the contents of a cows stomach using whats called a "cow window". Veterinarians and researchers sew the stomach lining to the cows skin then surgically implant a 4 inch tube into the side of a young cow. The technique is used by researchers to observe how cows use and digest feed.
