J.R. Davis

Updated: December 10, 2012

After spending the last two years as a communications director on Capitol Hill, J.R. Davis is happy to be back home at KNWA.

While politics has always been a passion of his, J.R. will be the first to tell you that his heart is in broadcast news.

"I consider this job a privilege," said Davis. "The facts count. Simply put, you want a credible, unbiased news source you can depend on each and every day. As a journalist, I don't take that responsibility lightly."

This is J.R.'s second stint at KNWA. From 2008 - 2010 he was the station's political reporter and fill-in anchor. He also hosted a weekly segment, "Where in AR is JR" where he would explore the unique people, places, and things all across the Natural State.

As the new co-anchor of KNWA Today, J.R. is excited about bringing today's top stories into your home each and every morning.

"I can promise you one thing, starting your day off with us will be a lot of fun."

J.R. is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. When he's not on the desk or in the field, he's rooting on the Hogs, enjoying the state's great outdoors, and spending time with his girlfriend, Donnally, his family and his friends.
