(Independence County) State police are investigating a two-vehicle collision in Independence County last night that claimed the life of a Batesville woman.
The crash reportedly occurred shortly after 6 p.m. when a car headed west on State Highway 230 near Batesville made a turn into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
The driver of the westbound vehicle - 77-year-old Sadie L. Kimberling - was killed in the collision, police said. The driver of the other vehicle - 58-year-old Timmy L. Scoggins of Floral - was reportedly uninjured.
