IF YOURE LOOKING TO HOP A PLANE THIS SUMMER OUT OF FORT SMITH, YOU NOW HAVE A NEW OPTION. AFTER WORKING FOR YEARS TO EXPAND AIRPORT SERVICES, DELTA AIRLINES HAS JUMPED ON BOARD AND WILL OFFER ELEVEN ROUND TRIP FLIGHTS TO ATLANTA....ONE OF THE LARGEST AIRPORTS IN THE WORLD. FROM ATLANTA, DESTINATION POSSIBILITIES ARE ALMOST ENDLESS. AIRPORT DIRECTOR, KENT PENNEY SAYS THE CUSTOMERS ARE THE ONES WHO ATTRACTED DELTA TO THE FORT SMITH REGIONAL AIRPORT: "Theres nothing we can do at the airport to get airlines to come here.....its passengers taking the action to fly on the flights that will get them to come here." DELTA SAYS THE TRIP FROM FORT SMITH TO ATLANTA TAKES JUST OVER ONE HOUR
