The Fort Smith Fire Department responded to a call at 1835 N. 12th St. Friday night, where they encountered a smoking residence said by neighbors to be the home of seven children. Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 8:01pm, and at the time of this report, officials are still monitoring the site for hotspots. No fatalities have been reported so far, although at least one child was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to Sparks Regional Medical Center. An investigation will be conducted into the cause of the fire. Fox 24s Allison Woods was on the scene and brings you this exclusive video.
