Closed Meetings in Bella Vista

Next Monday, the Bella Vista Property Owners Association board will look at a draft policy to require news organizations to be accredited by the association before they send representatives to meetings or try to access documents. P.O.A. board chairwomen Roberta Dale said it's still a working policy. The board will spend more time on the policy next Monday and vote on it next Thursday. Dale says the board isn't trying to hide all of its information and says 99 percent of what they do will be available. She said what the P.O.A. is trying to do is keep contract negotiations under wraps until they've sealed the deal. The board doesn't want news reports jeopardizing negotiations.
