Fort Smith needs more money to complete the new justice complex.
The building was only supposed to have two district courtrooms, but with a new judge on the way in 2009, the city says it needs another one.
"We feel like the court system will work to benefit the public in general much more efficiently to have all of the district courts and all of the circuit courts in one area," says Sebastian County Judge David Hudson.
The new justice complex should be completed early next year. The cost of the new addition will be about $170,000.
