The second bank robbery in under a month took place on Friday. Police say that at about 6:30 in the evening a man walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller complied and the man then ran off, possibly north…along College Avenue. Investigators believe the man may have finished his getaway in a vehicle, but have no vehicle description to release.
The only apparent connection to the Fayetteville bank robbery earlier in the month is the time of day the crime occurred, according to Sgt. Shannon Gabbard. In fact, many differences in the way the crime was carried out leads investigators to believe the crimes are completely unrelated. However, they say they rule nothing out this early on in the investigation.
