A Bella Vista woman has taken it upon herself to help rid the roads of her town from road kill. Liz Lottmann tells KNWA that her mission began when she was a child. During vacations she would often force her parents to pull to the side of the road to remove unfortunate animals from oncoming traffic. She says she does it because she feels sorry for the animals…but admits she also does it to make the roads a little less unsightly.
Lottmann says she’s spent years trying to became known for her music career, but now worries she’ll become known as “the crazy lady from Bella Vista.” Local authorities charged with removing road kill from roads were unaware of the assistance they’ve been receiving from Lottmann, who says she’s just happy to help out.
