Alicia Minton's family spoke through a church leader Thursday afternoon thanking investigators and volunteers involved in the search for their daughter. On the steps of the Benton County Courthouse, Michael Powers-- of the First Assembly of God in Bentonville-- read a statement from the Minton family. "The family would like to thank all of the law enforcement officers from all over this area that have been searching for our daughter Alicia Minton. We would like to thank all of the volunteers that have been in and around the lake daily aiding in the search." Twenty-nine-year-old Alicia Minton was last seen June first. Investigators found her abandoned car three days later. Search teams continue to look for Minton on Beaver Lake near the Two-Ton water intake station. Through their statement, the family urged anyone with any information on the case to come forward and thanked everyone involved for their help. "This particular police force, I was raised in Mountain Home, Arkansas, these guys are amazing. They're doing a wonderful job for the family." However Powers refused to answer any questions and says at this point any future statements from the family will come through him. Friday night, friends and family of Alicia Minton will hold a candlelight vigil at the Church at Pinnacle Hills in Rogers.
