One Bella Vista resident claims the Property Owners Association is trying to get around the Freedom of Information Act. More commonly referred to as F.O.I.A the Freedom of Information Act allows citizens access to public records. However the P.O.A could become immune to F.O.I. if they decide to collect “revenue” from residents instead of “taxes”, according to Bella Vista resident Jim Parsons. Parsons tells us the change would make public city documents private city documents and says that would be a shame. The P.O.A. will hear more public comment on the matter at a July meeting.
