The city of Lowell will have its stagecoach back for the Mud-Town Days Festival this weekend, but not without controversy. The court told Ray Dotson to return the coach to the city today. Dotson says, "The City of Lowell is the City Hall so thats where we delivered it." As soon as he unloaded the carriage, Lowell re-directed Dotson. Dotson explains, "The City of Lowell is playing games, but thats ok." Glen Jones, the Executive Director of the Lowell Historical Museum says, "I just want the stagecoach back, and I dont think thats too much to ask." Dotson told us hes happy to return the coach, for $28,000. He says, "Ive got that much in time, labor, material, and storage in the stage coach." Dotson explains, "My contract with the City of Lowell with Mr. Biggers was, I get to recoup my financial status on it by using it for other things to recoup my money for maintenance and monies that Ive got in the stagecoach." The City says its glad to have the coach back for the Mud-Town Festival this weekend. Jones explained, "Today, with the return of the stagecoach, I feel like a child has been returned from a kidnapping." Regardless of what the court rules, Dotson says he will not give up. "Rest assured, I will pull the stagecoach from the City of Lowell some time in the future."
