WakeUpWalMart.com is a group who wants to change Wal-Marts ways. Now in their latest campaign efforts, they released an animated TV-ad asking Americans to not shop at the giant retailer on July 4th. In what WakeUpWalMart.com is calling "Lesson #1," they are urging Americans to think about what happens to our economy and American jobs when we shop at Wal-Mart. WakeUpWalMart.com campaign director claims Wal-Mart strengthens China, who then slaps America in the face by directly supporting terrorists. We asked Wal-Mart what they think of this campaign and they issued this statement. "This ad is simply ridiculous. We are actually embarrassed for them." "We find it absurd that they are wasting millions of dollars in union member dues in a sophomoric attempt at an issue ad for political gain. It is also offensive to our men and women currently serving in the military." This ad is being played in over 30 markets and is part of a one million dollar TV ad campaign which will last 3 months.
