Property Owner Chris Urban says he's alarmed by a non-disclosure agreement included in a POA staff member's contract. Urban says by including a non-disclosure agreement board members violated the POA's adopted Freedom of Information Act policy. "They disclosed his salary but on the same token they would not disclose anything else about what was in the contract and that bothers me because I'm a property owner," Urban says. He also says he's disturbed that the POA wants to change its FOIA policy-- and is worried that too much will be going on behind closed doors. But POA Board Member Bill Williams says not so. "I feel clearly that what we're doing is actually moving to a place where our membership will have much more and much better access to information." Williams says, in his opinion, changing the policy and the non-disclosure agreement are not going against the interest of the POA members... and adds that he isn't privy to examining the non-disclosure agreement either. Urban says he plans to attend the next meeting where the policy change will be discussed and he hopes other members will too. "People in the POA, the staff members, think paying our dues is like having a gym membership and that's not what the case is...I take concern of what's going on here in my community."
