Johnnie Rhoads says her teenage son has already had four friends die due to drugs and alcohol. She doesnt want to see that happen again, so shes pushing the Rogers School Board to institute a random drug testing policy. The policy would allow parents to give administrators permission to test their children, but administrators would not be able to test students if parents dont first give the go ahead.
At a meeting on Thursday the board said they were waiting to get the results of a professional survey of area students concerning the issue. After getting those results they plan to discuss the issue further and finally make a decision.
