Former Benton County Coroner Kimberly Scott left the Benton County Courtroom Tuesday in handcuffs after pleading guilty to just one of the several drug charges she faced. The other charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. Prosecutors brought charges against Scott after they were given information about her stealing pharmaceuticals from the Coroners office. In August, she admitted taking the drugs from the office and actually using them for her own personal use, which she later denied and tried fighting her confession and the search of her home. Scott is now serving a 60 day sentence in the Benton County Jail, and has $10,000 to pay in restitution.
