Bentonville Man Wants Say In Trash Service

By: Alex Flippin
Updated: July 24, 2007
John Brewer is commonly referred to as the bag man, but dont let him hear you call him that. He prefers bag gentleman. He says he has issues with the city of Bentonvilles trash service or rather changes that loam on the horizon but remain up in the air. The man tells us its the mayors proposed ninety-six gallon trash can he has a problem with because in his own words a ninety-six gallon can is too big and he thinks Bentonville residents should have more of a choice. According to Brewer, so far he hasnt been able to get any straight answers about who will choose what size trash can residents get and why theyll pick those sizes. So, Tuesday, the gentleman took to the streets protesting the issue in front of the Bentonville City Hall. Wearing a trash bag sign and holding another sign he offered information to anyone walking into the city building. Exactly what size garbage bins residents will receive will be decided by the mayor.
