Tyson Donation Sets Food Bank Record

tyson12007-07-26-1185467540.jpgA Tyson Foods pledge to donate nearly two-thousand meals for every mile of the RAGBRAI route paid off, with a record-breaking delivery to the Food Bank of Iowa. Two semi-trucks with more that 70-thousand-pounds of frozen chicken were delivered Wednesday. Meanwhile, some Tyson employees are volunteering along the RAGBRAI route in an effort to raise money to fight childhood hunger in Iowa. The 35th Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa continues today, with a stop in Independence. Cyclists wrap-up their week-long ride Saturday in Bellevue.
