Food Recalls Continue. Shoppers Worry Of Trend.

In less than a year, spinach, pet food, olives, peanut butter and now whole wheat bread have been pulled from store shelves. With the exception of the pet food, the line-up sounds like a pretty healthy menu, but each product was pulled from store shelves due to fears that it was anything but....and as that list continues to grow, so do the concerns of some shoppers. We spoke with one who says he worries what might be next, or even worse, about food dangers he may not yet be aware of. In fact, on July 21st the FDA began warning of botulism risks connected to chili sauce and on Sunday, pesticide poisoning from Chinese ginger. The country that just executed its head of food and drug safety. Some store managers tell us they wonder whether stricter regulations are catching mistakes more often or whether lax regulations are simply allowing more tainted food get to consumers.
