In a press release the group says one group will keep the "Pinnacle Group" name. The other group will be formed later. The statement adds that each group will continue development on their portions of Pinnacle Hills property, and says The Pinnacle Group is not going away. But with this large developer splitting apart and another big developer-- Brandon Barber of the Barber Group -- reportedly moving to New York-- what's the future of development look like for our area? "I think the economy and the chances for development are still very strong," says financial advisor Steve Gibbs. He says there's still plenty of opportunity for development and believes an outside developer has a good chance of coming in and stimulating growth. "The prospects for development in Northwest Arkansas, I feel, are still very good. We have a very well educated work force, we have a low cost of living and we still have the largest company in the United States just down the road here in Wal-Mart."
