The SCLC is celebrating its 50th anniversary and today is officially opening its new $3.3 million headquarters on Atlanta's historic Auburn Avenue. SCLC officials also say they will find a way to honor and recognize embattled Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick who faces trial in November on federal dog fighting charges. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was among a group of ministers who founded the SCLC in February, 1957.
