A burglar is behind bars thanks to a Barling man.
Police arrested Jacob Carter, 26, around 3:15 Monday morning. Officers say he tried to break into the Laws Pharmacy on Rogers, but was caught in the act by Arliss Slavens, a Laws employee.
Slavens says Carter tried to run off, but he grabbed Carter, and held him until police arrived. Slavens says he just wanted to make sure the would-be burglar wouldnt get away.
Police think Carter may have also broken into the Laws Pharmacy on Market Trace in Fianna Hills about 30 minutes before he was caught.
