Crime prevention was the name of the game at the fourth annual National Night Out at the Greenwood Square. The event was hosted by Greenwood police.
"Its kind of a way for people to come out. You can get an idea of the services offered in your community, and also you can meet your local law enforcement, emergency management personnel, and at the same time, we can get the citizens out here and make them aware of our crime prevention programs and try to get them involved," says Sergeant James Flynn with the Greenwood Police Department.
Sgt. Flynn says if police officers can get folks involved, theyll deal with less crime.
