Someone robbed a bank in Dallas Tuesday, and police think it’s the same guy who robbed the First National Bank in Fort Smith.
Police say the vehicle description, a 1984 Buick Century, and the license plate number matched in both robberies.
Billy Wayne Farris is a person of interest in both robberies. Police say he drives the getaway vehicle.
Sergeant Jarrard Copeland, from the Fort Smith Police Department, says, “Typically if someone does rob a bank, it pretty unusual if theyre caught in the act, so its not at all out of the ordinary for this guy to be able to get away with it for a week or two, but it will catch up with him."
Police say Farris visits Booneville frequently. If you see Farris or know where he is, call the Fort Smith Police.
