As residents made their way through Fayetteville on Thursday, they could see the beginnings of a new sight....its the new mixed use Barber Group project called Bellafont, but theres been very little progress made on it for quite a while. Wallace Barlow is a hair stylist who intended on setting up shop in the Bellafont development, but it didnt seem to be going anywhere and his clients were getting a little antsy. We stopped by on Thursday but all we saw was the same beginnings of Bellafont that Barlow said prompted him to pull out of the project and set up shop in Rogers. We contacted the Barber Group to see what they had to say and according to a representative, financing is in place and the project should move forward shortly. He admits there have been some construction delays, but other than that he tells us everything is right on track. However, according to Wallace Barlow those delays have dragged on. He says he was told the project would be up and running by May and thats left some wondering if this new project is where its supposed to be or just another example of a development thats a little too big for its own britches.
