Thursday afternoon, the Regions Bank on Sunset in Springdale was robbed by a man carrying an semi-automatic pistol. A teller was able to set off a silent alarm, but not before the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police are not sure if this robbery is related to several others that have happened in the last two months. The suspect is described as a white male, around 5-feet-8 inches tall and weighing between 250 and 300 pounds.
He was wearing a white hat, blue jeans and flannel shirt. It is also believed that a silver Pontiac Grand-Am may have been used as a get-a-way car.
