Eiken Saimon is being charged for the shooting deaths of three members of the Micronesian First Congregational Church in Neosho, Missouri. When police arrived at the church Sunday, Saimon was inside with more than 20 hostages. They entered after hearing gunshots. They say Saimon held a gun to one womens head.
"These men went in knowing full well that a 9 mm would be taken off a victims head and put on theirs and they did it anyway and that means something to me," said Newton County Prosecutor Scott Watson.
By the time police had Saimon in custody, three were dead and at least five wounded. Saimon faces three first degree murder charges and four assault charges. Saimon remained silent as he entered the Newton County Courtroom to enter a plea of not guilty.
