Officials from Toys-R-Us announced they will remove all vinyl baby bibs from their stores. Here's why: Two baby bibs made in China showed lead levels that exceeded safety standards for Toys-R-Us. Officials say roughly 160,000 vinyl bibs will be pulled from warehouses as well as Toys-R-Us and Babies-R-Us stores. Studies show that childhood exposure to lead can cause learning problems, reduced intelligence, hyperactivity, and attention deficit disorder.
