mud2007-08-19-1187575457.jpgThe pond -- in the Boardwalk subdivision - is about 5 acres, and used to be home to fish, but mostly floods and mud now. "I went out there this afternoon as a matter of fact and walked around most of the lake out at Boardwalk and I do see that they have a problem out there and I'm going to try to remain very open minded. I want to listen to what their POA has to say but my gut concern is having the public money spent in private property," says Fayetteville City Council woman Nacy Allen. Many agree the primary problems causing the pond to fill in with silt were the highway construction and house building on individual lots in a neighboring subdivision. The council will meet again this week.
