Wednesday morning President Bush further laid out his plan to continue on with the war in Iraq in front of the annual VFW convention in Kansas City, MO. Throughout his speech, Bush used references to the Vietnam War to drive home his point that an exit from the war in Iraq now would prove detrimental to the United States in the future. And at least one local veteran we spoke with agrees. Retired Lt. Colonel James Buckner served two tours in Vietnam. He says though he didnt support the move to go to war in Iraq, he doesnt want the country to relive an outcome similar to the war in Vietnam...and he says he feels others veterans feel the same way.
