According to the arrest warrant, Knutson faces a laundry list of felony charges including the possession and sale of marijuana, furnishing obscene or harmful items to minors, possession and sale of narcotic drugs and sexual misconduct with a minor. Scottsdale police say someone is just now coming forward with information. Investigators say the period of time in which these incidents may have occurred date back to more than 20 years ago, to 1983 and 1984. But Arizona has no statute of limitations for crimes against a minor. Knutson has been a physics teacher at the Rogers High School for more than eight years. Principal Bill Stringer says Knutson's arrest shocked him because he's never received a complaint and says Knutson is an excellent teacher. The school has not fired Knutson, but Stringer says he won't be back in the classroom until everything is cleared up. Scottsdale police say they are in the process of extraditing Knutson back to Arizona.
