Eighteen Rogers police officers will assist with security for the LPGA tournament this week. The LPGA Northwest Arkansas Championship has golf fans flocking to Pinnacle Hills. About 60,000 fans are expected to watch the events taking place all week. Rogers police will help with crowd control and traffic. Monday 22 women hit the greens, competing for two spots in the main event. A ProAm tournament will be held later this week. The main event starts Friday and will end Sunday with the winner taking home 200,000 dollars. This is the first LPGA tournament to be held in Arkansas in more than 50 years.
