The Benton County Fair has doubled in size. In years past the fair was held on 30 acres of land near the Bentonville Square. Now the fair is on 60 acres of land in Vaughn. Fair officials traded Wal-Mart their old land for the 60 acres in Vaughn. Food vendors said they needed the space.
“We each have our individual electric hook-up,” said Linden Willson, who is selling hot dogs at this years fair. “Last year it was hard to get seating and people had to stand around.”
The fair started Tuesday and will last through Saturday. Carnival rides will be running through Sunday.
