Ordinance Change?

houses2007-09-16-1189995185.jpgUnder the city's current ordinance, gated communities are prohibited unless the neighborhood's topography is extremely steep. Buddy Vernetti, a member of the planning commission, says the new ordinance would allow for more gated subdivisions. Vernetti says the city outlawed gates because of concern over emergency access and traffic flow. The commission will vote on the ordinance Tuesday.
